Biography

(b. 1852, Kallaph, Baluchistan). Arrived Australia c. 1887. Cameleer with Alfred Heath's expedition from S.A. to W.A. goldfields, 25 Mar. to 12 Jul. 1894 (Stevens 1989 p. 84) and with Frank Hann 1903, and the East brothers (miners) to Kahnga Soak, near Warbo, W.A., 1904 (D. Charlwood, Australian Way magazine, 1994). In 1927 owned 14 camels at Lyndhurst, S.A. (S.A. Dept of Lands docket, 1927/840). Described as 'marksman'. CEDT 1943/441.
