Biography

(d. 1940, Hatches Creek, N.T.), Afghan. Hawker first based in Windorah, Qld. Worked out from Hatches Creek, N.T. Cameleer, wool carter in the Broken Hill and Wilcannia area, N.S.W. Hawking in Salisbury Downs, N.S.W., 1915 (Rajkowski 1978, p. 120). In 1903 SAID HAFIZ posted a missing notice for him, as 'an Afghan hawker, travelling in the north' in the Advertiser, 28 Jan. 1903, p.1.
