Biography

(b. 1849, Quetta), Afghan. From Meenar. Perth mosque committee member, 1906. 'A leading member of the Afghan community'. Contributed to costs of Perth mosque (Musakhan 1932, pp. 19-22, 32). May be the same ANWAR KHKER, resident at Perth mosque, who supported NOORAM SHAH's application to reenter Australia, 1914 (Ext Affairs docket 11659/1915, with photographs, National Archives, Canberra).
