Biography

(b. Kandahar; d. 10 Jan. 1896, Coolgardie, W.A.), Durrani Afghan. Younger brother of FAIZ MUHAMMAD, and partner with him in forwarding agencies in Marree, S.A., Cue, Day Dawn, Geraldton and Mullewa, W.A. Worked in the Mt Lyndhurst area, S.A., 1884. In charge of a shipload of camels (141 from Karachi on the SS Bancoora) to Fremantle, W.A., 1892. Murdered by GHULAM MUHAMMAD while praying in the Coolgardie mosque, 1896; Ghulam was hanged at the Fremantle prison.
